I need a shorter side stand for my 05 FJR as i have lowered the bike a little. I would also be interested in a stock one that i can shorten myself contact me with price you want.

Some here have ground the kickstand 'stop' down by an 1/8th to a 1/4 inch, letting the kickstand overextend a bit, effectively lowering the standed bike (this also lets the kickstand more positively extend, reducing the chance of the kickstand self folding).

There was a side stand on Ebay for $15.00 last week. Here is a link to the guy selling the parts last week.

The cheap way of grinding it down is to park at the top of a hill and roll backwards whilst dragging the peg. Do that long enough and the stand will be shortened. Um, ....don't fall down.
