Probably a mute point, I don't even know if we are really waiting just because of sidebags but.... If that's the case, who would rather wait in lieu of making two trips to the dealer if the bags were to come in after the bike?

I'd rather have my bike now.

Funny you should mention that...I'd rather be RIDING my new bluu FJR than still not riding while it sits awaiting several pcs. of plastic that do not stop the bike from being used! Ever hear of FedEx Yamahaha???

Sure glad I have my 1200R (gee...nooo bags, ever) that I oh so enjoyably rode yesterday afternoon! DFO <_< :p :p :p :p

I plan to ride without the bags most of the time anyway. I have a Goldwing for "that" kind of riding. It's one of the reasons I'm selling my ST1300 and getting an FJR. I want something that is more of a grown up sport bike, instead of a grown up sport TOURING bike.

Then why didn't you just get a pure sportbike like a Busa or a R6 or something?

I thought very seriously about a Busa. But I live in the Houston area, and I have to ride 50 miles just to get to the good stuff, and I'm 53 years old. Those bikes just don't have ergonomics made for older guys like me. The FJR is the perfect bike for me, I just prefer the sportier looks without the bags, and I never missed them when I didn't have them.
