Silver Spade

Was tooling around by Athens today but did not find the Silver Spade. Anybody know where it is digging now?

Not in operation. There was a group from Cadiz that were trying to buy it to preserve it as a tourist attraction. Consol is going to scrap it. I heard it is worth $1million scrapped. I remember being on one of those mamoth machines(Silver Spade or The GEM of Egypt)when we took a field trip in high school. Still remember the guide telling us it took 8-500hp motors to spin it on it's axis.
