Not trying to burden the rest of this fine FJR Forum regarding the care, maintenance and overall upkeep required of being a close friend of SkooterG; but if you are thinking about buying "Mr. *******" a drink because he once again wadded his FJR:
I just talked with Mr. *******... He's sore but fine. Bike is totally rideable
and he's going to stay the weekend. He's assuming under $1000 in damage. He
was too busy being social to really talk too much but overall he's fine.

Leadville, Colorado at a restaurant. Our phone reception was not the best.
Art, do you have numbers for Warchild or Iggy that you can use to let them know
about Greg's situation? There may already be a rescue operation from Golden
underway, but I could not get that from our phone talk!

making this odd noise but I think its just because its low on fluid. I noticed
some was leaking out so I just topped it off. It should be fine until I get back
from this 2000 mile trip". ******* squids...

take a Navy rocket scientist to figure out the problem before now!

Unless, that FJR is also "going bad for two months now."

leaving for NAFO status. If you are still FUBAR with both FJR's, come to
Chandler in your car and take my FJR. It is fully insured! So when you wad it
up, I'll buy myself one of the new black 2008 models. Don S.

night to install the new battery, I fried a wire - I am talking heavy smoke and
flame! when I reversed the connection at the battery and it shorted. Damaged
adjacent wires too, but not badly.

starter (rpm) when I go to start it half the time. Just like before. I am
guessing it's the starter, but will have to wait upon return from NAFO to figure
it out. Hopefully under warranty as I will have about 3 weeks left.

says I, I have had a replacement for two years now sitting in a closet on a
trickle charger. I have been meaning to get to it.

good. I put it in anyways and there is just not enough juice to turn the
starter. Why didn't I do this a week ago?
