I have been very pleased with the GPS mounts I purchased:

The parts ain't cheap though.

There are two pieces. First is the stem nut stem mount made by Techmount. See it HERE.

Second is the Touratech Garmin GPS mount. There are four versions, two non-locking, and two locking, and for each there is a bigger rubber damper version (which I didn't get). You can see the one I got HERE. And the webpage that list all the mounts they have for various GPS is HERE.

So I then just attached the touratech mount to the stemstand. Had to get some washers for spacers, and grind a small amount off the stemstand plate for clearance of two nuts, but it was all relatively simple. Has been working great.

I've had both of the above mounts. The gadget guy is super slick looking, but the Touratech is more practical given it's shock absorbing abilities.
