I see a lot of people talking about slip on mufflers. How do you get the old ones off? Is there a bolt somewhere, or what's the deal? I'd like to get some new cans with a bit more sound than the stocks, but don't want a full exhaust system. I'd like to be able to do it myself.

Follow your exhaust "upstream" and you'll see where the stock cans attach to the stock header. Loosen that clamp and remove the mounting bolt on top of the can and the stock can will "slip off" allowing you to "slip on" certain aftermarket cans. Like me, the procedure is ridiculously simple. <_< There is a gasket where the stock can slips onto the header that you may or may not need to replace, depending on which aftermarket cans you use.

You need a special tool called the "slipper", in order to remove the cans.

You may have seen the commercials...........

Slip-on.................slip-off...........................the slipper
