Hi All

Have some DELKEVIC slip-ons on my 2008FJR.

The baffles are removable.

Do you think it's too lean to remove those baffles??

The 4 cats are still in the pipe so I didn't think it would make that much difference.

What ya' think?

I put on the 18" ovals recently, it runs the same ,but sounds better ,more backfire rumble on decelleration. I have a 2009 25000 miles on it .I think the ECU would adjust out any leaness or richness ,but I don"t no for sure ! I"m sure someone on this site could comment more intellingently on my ECU thinking .

I agree that it won't mess up your fueling very much by making it louder. But from a fueling standpoint the fueling is already too lean ubder most conditions, and reducing the exhaust back-pressure will only make it leaner.

But it will be louder. Not sure if that is good or not.

Yeah, I know it's lean from the factory.

I guess my question is will it be lean enough to cause damage is I run without the baffles if the cats are strill in??

I don't have the bucks for a Power Commander right now.

I think if you disconnect the 02 sensor if will stay a bit richer....and there is always the co adjust mod...

That's because you are not a Harley rider. If you were a Harley guy you would know. Louder is always better.

It does have a nicer "growl" without the baffles, haven't gone for a ride with them out yet but it sounds good in the driveway!!

Not too keen on disconnecting sensors and such, could cause issues with the computer.

Nope, it won't. Anyone that runs a Power Commander can tell you that you will not have any problems by unplugging the O2 sensor.

And the Barbarian Jumper Mod and CO adjustment is an inexpensive way to make the mixture less lean. That was a very good suggestion.
