I've just arrived home from a 400 mile one way trip to Bonne Terre, MO. Smitty installed my cruise control today and my right wrist has never felt better after 400 miles.

He did an extremely professional job. His shop is spick and span, and well organized. The install was done in the exact amount of time Smitty said.

The cruise control works perfect. No seaching or tweaking needed.

Excellent, Excellent job. Would certainly ( and hope to ) do business with again.

Thanks Smitty! :yahoo:

P.S. The 2009 Garmin map for the Zumo for the Super 8 in Bonne Terre takes you 10 miles out in the boonies onto a dirt road! There is no Super 8 motel on Wood Lane off of Crossman. The Super 8 is on Wood St. off of Hwy K, right off of 67 in Bonne Terre proper only about a mile from Smitty's house. DO NOT go down Hwy V, Hwy E or any of that just stay on 67 until you get to the Bonne Terre exit.

Just got back from Smitty's, watching the master do his magic. The workmanship and attention to detail is second to none....Thank you so much smitty. I rode 900 miles round trip to get the install and it was worth it.

Swung by Smitty's for a chance to see him and Petey again and watch him do the cruise. He put a cruise on my 05 FJR 2 or so years ago. Man was it great. Unfortunately I decided that a high speed crash was the easiest way to get rid of the bike and get a new BMW 1200 GS Adventurer to replace it with. Actually, I still wish that I had it in its pre-crash condition. Now the problem is getting Smitty to figure out a cruise for the GSA. If anyone can do it, he is the one. He does such a professional and efficient job with these installs, he never ceases to amaze me.

Now get up off your but and figure one out for our GSA's. :clapping:

Very few folks I speak of so highly as Smitty.

If he says it, you can take it to the bank.

Refreshing, in these days and times.

Smitty ROCKS!

How does a guy go about getting in touch with Smitty? I live up in Eastern, IA and would love to hook-up with someone in the midwest who is willing and able to install CC. Just tell me how much for the job and when you want the bike and I will am ready to make it happen. As FYI - I have an 08A. Thanks, Dave

Just click on "members" at the top of the page and type in "smitty141" then send him a private mail. If that doesn't work, PM me and i will give you his top secret phone number.

Just FYI guys Smitty is not doing installs anymore. His work schedule is off the charts and his free time is either spent riding or with his familly, not sure in what order though....

Sounds like he needs to teach my wife how to do it. I'm always looking for a second job for her.
