Wow, what a road!!! Someone on this site suggested this road to me last year, but we couldn't find it. We found it this past weekend. Thanks to whomever told me about it. If you are looking for a tight twisty road, it doesn't get much better then this one. We were down in West Virgina from Friday until Monday and were able to miss most of the rain. What's up with Route 72 south of Route 50? That road made Smoke Hole Road look like a two lane highway. One of the turns was so tight, I had to drop to 1st gear. At the end of the road we all had smiles from ear to ear. I love riding in WV and can't wait to go back next year. Thanks West Virginia!!!!

Definitely one of my favoraites. What is great is it is within range to include in a day trip loop from home. :yahoo:

72 is one of my favorites in WV. If you ride with others, on some of the tighter turns

you can practically high-five the rider ahead. When done you'll swear you saw the back of your own helmet.

I just road that a couple weeks ago. Took a 3 day weekend stayed at the Smoke Hole Cabins right next to Smoke Hole Rd and Rt55. Hit routes 33, 28, and 66 on day two; than rolled up the BRP on day three.
