It's snowing and temp in the 30's. Been raining or snowing all month. I need to ride. But, I checked around and no one has a chain for my '06 rear tire. So, I started it and ran it 'til it warmed up. I guess that's how you put miles on the bike without showing on the odometer. At this rate I'll need an oil change before Xmas. It will be easier, however, cause it is already on the lift. Of course my tire milage is excellent and I stay warm. But, running in the garage isn't to thrilling. Will I have to wait until Spring ?

WA has had record rainfall in Nov. I am below 500 ft and have three inches of galcier at present. They took the chain reqirments off in Reno when I had my 750. Wife & I left. MC was stable (Conti Twins) but I didn't want to go over 50 on packed snow. It was a PITA as it would open to two lanes and back to one with crazed animals in cages not a worry about safety.

Yawl Joking about the chains aintcha? Dry pavement that would be one scary *****!

Guys you could ride in the snow, we do it here ! :p

No way, no how do I ride on snow...that takes some cajones there my friend!

I commute every day to work regardless of temp or rain...just no snow for me.

Problem w/ riding in the snow is the things that go with it....ice and SALT. Terrible on bikes. I rode today. The weather here has been warm. I rode 100 mile today. Supposed to snow at the end of the week. Blah!!!

Normally ride all winter here, but this week we have been pounded with snow. So Cerulean Silver remains nice and warm in her garage. The next level of farkling is about to begin. Snow is always so expensive!!

Yesterday I was golfing in shirtsleeves. This morning at 6am it was 64 degrees. But now it is 27 degrees, sleeting and temp still dropping. So I guess the fun is over for a little while.

Some guys gotta ride & other guys REALLY GOTTA RIDE  ....(but don't you just hate salt)....

So the little teeth do great for straight forward traction, but the whole turning thing might be a slow process eh?
