Was that some kind of annual gathering of the "rugged, outdoorsy-type" riders. Those guys are into some serious stuff. My body much prefers the motel. :D

I've a few questions for you:

#7 Very interesting homemade gas tank, is that common?

#14 Looks like a Moto Guzzi?

#19 What is it?

#26-28 Is that an old Matchless thumper? 500cc?

Is this type of sidecar modification common for outback riding? Are the frames commercially available? They appear "industrial/utilitarian" but I assume that's because of the treatment they survive riding in the outback.

Way cool pictures.

Thug, you da man...those are some great pics and this puts a new twist to off-roading, or are those the roads? Makes me want to come over and go on a ride-about with you guys. Keep up the good work. Goud day, PM. <>< :good:

DAMN Thug!!!!!!!!

That's some rugged shite there !!!!!! Guess the sidecars are to carry all the Fosters ?? :D

I'm with you when it comes to comfy sleeping places!

It is a well known here in Oz that if you give a cocky (Farmer/cow cocky) a pair of pliers (wire cutters) and some barbed wire they can make anything! Common? I would say yes very common for these kind of poeple to make what they need out of anything they have to save a few bucks...not because their poor because they are tight bastards!

Yes 14 is a Moto Guzzi

19 looks like a Kawasaki with a Modified Car Air Cleaner induction system on it!

26-28 not sure maybe also looks like an old Honda

Answers to your other questions are in order and are Yes, I would say no custom only, and yes they do!, and I would say yes to that as well....

Yes they are outback roads and conditions so came and ride the outback where the men are men and the sheep, cows, kangaroos etc are nervous!

Cheers

Na mate at home in the kitchen...

I like one of fella's has a box of VB ( A Green box, a very well liked beer in Oz, better than Fosters) looks like he wanted one in a hurry so he's obviously just grabed a handfull of carboard and ripped the box open just enough to put his hand through and grab a stubbie...

Wow,What a rough looking bunch of dudes.

Some of that hardware looks antique rube goldbergish.

Some of those sidecars could be used for skiboats just throw an old outboard onthe back.

And the one that really gets me is in pic 43,he could use his as a coffin if need be,nice old barnyard box.

Very cool roughLDriders of the outback. If you had crocidile dundee their it probably woulda scared the crap outta him.

That was truly entertaining Thug, thanks for that. Totally amazes me that a couple of those bikes even run. True hardcore bikers for sure.
