This is a 26mm (12pt) socket welded onto pipe.  The other end has a hole which screw driver or other rod may be placed. 

I used this to service the folks on my '07 FJR and it worked without issues.  

Sadly, the FJR is now gone and rather than chuck tool in landfill I'd like to pass it on.
