Interested in the Bagster you have for your 2003 FJR. I am in the PNW and was wondering if you leave it on during the rainy season or is it a fair weather cover.

Thanks Anzac

Maybe those who have a "rainy season" and use the Bagster products can comment as other than riding in the rain and having a tank bag on, there really is no reason to remove the cover due to rain.

Never had any issues of water getting in between the cover and fuel tank. Also, I made a simple vinyl cover to go over the opening for the fuel filler for times when the bike may have to set out in the rain, just attaches with Velcro, so water wouldn't get beneath the cover.

We get plenty of rain here in West Michigan and the Bagster rain cover works perfect. Actually the whole Bagster tank cover with bag attached is an awesome arrangement. You can purchase different size bags to suit your riding needs. Easy on and off and oh so handy! I wouldn't ride without mine....and I paid a whole lot more for mine then xcsp is asking!!

Thanks guys. I saw a Bagster on YouTube on Marshmellow FJR channel and it looked right at home on his 2003. My current tank bag is an Oxford Humpback tank bag that I use on my Street Triple but it tends to scratch up the paint a lot. The Bagster with the detachable upper bag looks great.

Done waiting, I'm no longer interested in this item.
PM sent.

The Bagster tank cover & tank bag are available.

At this time I will be keeping the tank bag for use on my '14 if Bagster can get close on a red tank cover.

Please send a PM if interested in Bagster cover & tank bag.

Can't address the odd time lapse without a reply to the first claim--but a word of explanation would probably help anyone considering this, but possibly is reluctant to get stuck in a waiting position with no response from the seller.

But all that aside, I concur the Bagster is a very good product, and that the asking price is reasonable for both parts. I also concur that rain is not an issue. Moisture doesn't damage the tank bra or the bag, though the bag isn't truly waterproof. New ones come with a waterproof cover that's clear on top so you can still use the map window. Do you have that, xcsp?

Another benefit of the Bagster is heat insulation for your legs. That tank gets HOT, especially when low in fuel, and the foam-lined vinyl helps a lot. I'm surprised it hasn't sold; these don't come up often and usually go quick.

Finally, I have one, the silver color like this one, on my gorgeous Galaxy Blue '05, and it looks great on it. They made them in colors to match other years, but the silver works fine, IMO, because it matches the silver frame. Should be true for most years. And by the way, the tanks are all shaped the same. Only reason they would be year-specific is if you insisted on the color match with your plastic.

The tank bag does have the rain cover, it is permanently attached to the bag in it's specific storage pocket.

Reason for a time lapse if anyone is curious is as I originally posted the items for sale, I was also awaiting to hear back from Bagster and their U.S. distr. if they would have a color-matched tank cover for a red '14 FJR and was told they're working on it several times, not sure if they could get a color match or not, and this went on for quite some time, finally in May of this year the tank covers were available. (I also was going to see if the Alpha bag would have worked on the '14 with a MV Motorrad riser plate, but clearance was tight for turning.)

I probably should not have posted the stuff for sale at the original time that I did, but I did and informed those who had shown interest of the situation. It wasn't intentional by any means and I didn't expect to need to wait until June to rec'v the new tank cover & find out the clearance issue with the tank bag & riser.
