I've decided to go with some 3M Protection Film for my headlights on the 14', so these are up for sale.
$45.00 / Shipped to the lower 48.

I'd keep them until you get the film installed. I've got the full 3m kit on my '13. The ONLY two pieces I couldn't make fit properly were the headlight covers. I must've dicked around trying to get them to lay even close to properly for a good 2 hours.

Lamin-X on my '09 took a bit of work for the first side, the second side was much easier since I already knew all the things to not do. Still clear and no signs of lifting after 4 years. Tried to install some on my Altima a couple of weeks ago when it was about 50 degrees and discovered that wasn't going to work to well after about 30 minutes. Waiting for 70 degrees in another month or so.

If you don't mind my askin....where did you get the full 3M kit from? I'm considering one myself but dont want a cheap knockoff plastic
Google Tankslapper, they are made and shipped out of New Zealand, but arrive quickly.

Hmmm... Thanks for the information Bungie. I hope I have better luck. I better wait until it is warmer out to try putting them on.

I'll take them! PM sent!

PM sent Allen.

Actually they were shipped out of California when I recieved my kit.

Escondido, CA I believe.

I had 3M film on my '03 since day 1, still on it and clear.

Only problem on the install was the curve of the lamps along the bottom, trimmed them as patience grew short as I was prepping for a trip.

Looking at the full kits from Tankslapper, not sure to go full 3M or the cheaper 3m/static film kit they offer. Funny they charge extra for the side panel pieces which are really needed, good marketing on their part.

Just a tip, the front fairing piece for the Gen 3 looks like a deer antler. I snipped it in half at the bottom between the headlights and installed in 2 pcs.

The compound curves of the headlight lens means the piece needs to be stretched A LOT. Even heating it with a hair drier didn't help.

Thanks guys, i ordered a full set for my '13 today. 1-3 day expected delivery to Wisconsin. Not bad. I appreciate the tip of cutting the front piece....I'll make sure I have 3 or 4 pounds of beer in my brain box before undertaking the install.

Thanks for the tip on the front fairing piece. I'll be sure to cut it in half.

I notice on the Tankslapper site they show the total protection kit and an expanded version.

Looks like some of the pieces are shaped different between the kits, such as the "cowl" or "belly pan" (which would be for the area below the radiator) and the side cases/panniers. And it doesn't appear that the total protec. kit includes a front fender piece?

Anyone use the expanded kit and put the pieces on the matte finished side panels? Does it make them look like gloss black?
