Texas passed legislation on laser jammers and I am selling the systems installed in the bike and in the cage.

Our beloved state can approve jammer laws but is unable to outlaw texting and driving.

Check your state laws before buying Clicky

The system that was installed in my FJR:

Cheetah wireless installation kit Clicky

or clicky

The Cheetah kit allows remote control of the jammer (on and off) and also pumps audio to your audio system. It also includes waterproof box for the Blinder CPU

Blinder M27 Xtreme system that includes two transponders. Unlike the Adaptif system, that has the same CPU and hardware, and only includes one transponder Clicky

Clicky

I have the original boxes and manuals for these two items.

$310 shipped in the Con US. Pay Pal out of your checking account please.

The system that was installed in the cage:

Just a Blinder M27 Xtreme as above but hardwired instead of wireless. It may be installed in a bike by buying the Cheetah unit described above, or installed in a cage without the Cheetah kit

$210 shipped in the Con US. Pay Pal out of your checking account please.

Thanks

so what's the penalty...here it's "improper equipment", $175 fine, and not moving so no report to the state or any insurance company

I have a photo traffic camera plate cover that saves me 5-6 fines a year with 25 cameras in the New Orleans area for red light and speeding offenses. *******s paint a line across the intersection and shortened the yellow light to 1.5 seconds. Any part of the vehicle touching the line when turns red is charged...any vehicle doing 6 over the speed limit is charged.

I'm ok with getting a $175 fine added as a secondary charge to save probably $1000 a year. And the times I've been stopped for another offense, either the officer ignored the plate cover, mentioned it and empathized with my reasons, or gave me a lecture with no charge.

don't the units only run 7 seconds or some setting you make and then allow to be clocked after you have a chance to slow down...then the only way to be cited is if the officer sees it because of another offense and stop

Do you have a pix of these mounted in your fjr? Interested...

I'd just hand the cop a copy of my ham radio license ...... I'm licensed to operate in that frequency range ....

I wasn't aware that ham radio now goes into the infrared light spectrum. Anyhoo, even though it's weird, the FDA regulates light and the FCC regulates radio waves. Laser is under FDA regulation.

While Ion is right as usual, the State laws generally don't cite the technology being used.

You could use a paint gun or mud balls to defeat a laser device too. Might piss off the officer holding the thing tho.

;)

That's why the regs generally just prohibit interference with traffic and law enforcement devices.

so do these units auto turn off after x number of seconds so you can slow down, but the officer then gets a reading and thinks everything is kosha ???

I understand the Adaptiv philosphy and qualities, but no nothing about blinder

thanx

The brain in the Adaptif and Blinder are the same. Adaptif uses the Blinder technology.

So the features are the same. You can program via USB interface to jam for a few seconds and go back to unstealth mode to allow speed reading by LEO.

However, here in Texas is not just a fix it ticket if you get pulled over.

I can imagine the frustration with this turn of events by the gubment <_<

My Blinder M47 works great. I set the delay for a little longer than default. You get a piercing tone while it detects laser. It doesn't false to rear 3rd brake lights like some laser detectors do. It gives you a chance to slow without dipping the nose of the vehicle. Mosey on past the LEO safe and sound. If any questions are asked, I've flipped the toggle switch over to parking assist mode before I come to a complete stop. (It's never come to that though)

what's parking assist and how does that work in the scheme of things ???

<enquiring minds want to know>

I guess I should google it

I'm happy to set my cruise on 79 and figure they'll leave me along...in 5 years got a ticket for 80 in a 60 on an on ramp, and friggin 81 <grrrrrrrrrr> in a 70 at the bottom of a hill.

All fines lowered to non moving...first was $150 and second was $205, all mailed in.

So I don't know if the investment of $500-600 bucks is worth the piece of mind etc

Granted I zoom past trucks and idiots I distrust anywhere near me up to 90 at times.

I told the recent officer that the bike can go 90 without me realizing it and thank goodness at that moment I wasn't behind a gravel truck shooting motor rounds off the back and I wacked it open to 105 to get by. I laughed when he said I was passing everybody when he clocked me. He couldn't believe I didn't see him as I guess he was waving me over. I told him I was concentrating on all those cars I was passing to get away from the txting and cell phone users who were trying to kill me. All of them saw the police car and slowed to 60 as I was still punched in at 79 without a care in the world.

He denied it was a revenue program, said it was a state safety program that he was out there.

yeah, right...

Yea Patriot, you gotta watch those passing maneuvers. I zipped past a few cars and missed a few things.

1. The town limit sign.

2. The sign saying the speed limit was now 45mph.

3. The lady in uniform holding a radar gun in front of a car with lights on top.

She was very nice and professional. Her first question was "Were you trying to catch up with the group"

Me:

See, this group was known to do idiotic stuff including wheelies through towns and running from the cops. I'm sitting there trying to think...do I associate myself with them or not? I'm about to get the shaft based on their actions....great.

Her: I ask because every single one of them was doing five under the limit when they came through.

Me: <_<

Yea, forgot that every one of them was running a V1.

So I sucked it up and got charged for what I did and paid up the $255 fine. Ugh, that sucked.

my issues are with slab riding with state troopers shooting lazer...when the warning goes off on my Adaptiv TPX, I'm already done and being waved or chased

little issue with Ka as the Adaptiv seems as good as a Passport 9500ix with plenty warning

twisties and backroads that I do 80 in a 55 are not patroled with today's cut backs on officers on duty and there's not enough revenue with the sparse number of vehicles back there through the swamps of Looziana
