I'm still searching for windscreen nirvana. I've gone through Cee Bailey, VStream, Rifle, and Ahamay touring screen.

Anybody have a GEN UNO screen they wanna sell me? I'd even consider a trade. I have both a newer rifle and a newer vstream just sitting in my garage.

You show me yours, I'll show you mine...

Thanks, Barry

Barry, just a suggestion as an alternative...I found the so called Nirvana by using a Laminar Lip with a Cee Bailey, and my friend Jamie is doing the same thing with a medium Cal Sci. A Vario can do the same thing. With the lip I can run my windshield near the lowest setting and have a clean stream of air to cool my helmet, or just slightly higher, I run in a bubble of clean air. My fuel mileage has gone up between 44 and 48 MPG due to the better angles of attack, and I can listen to the helmet speakers without any difficulty.

Cal Sci is a fine windshield, but until you stop the air from rolling off the tip, you will keep searching. You might already have the windshield you need. Here is mine in the higher clean-air setting.

I have a Cee Bailey's 4 + 4 with the reverse contour. Yeah it is a barn door but up here in the Pacific Northwest it is great in the winter. For reference I am 5' 11" with a 32" inseam.

I think the reverse flip on the Cee Bailey's works well - aka it stops the air from rolling off the tip.

For summer use I am looking for a smaller windscreen. I am thinking of a Cee Bailey's Light tint, 21" tall but they only have +2 wider - I want a zero wide. I just called Cee Bailey's - they maybe able to accommodate my request.

I am looking forward to the responses on this thread....... Bustanut has been very quiet lately....

Interesting. I had a cee bailey. I really liked it on my Kawasaki Concours. It didn't seem to work for me on the FJR.

I bought a laminar lip (twice actually). Each time I thought it was incredibly ugly and couldn't possibly work.

I guess I'll have to reconsider.

Thanks for the input.

Barry

I have a size XL gen 1 I can sell. It has lots of light scratches from cleaning. Can take pics if you want. My bike is gone, I don't need it.

I finally found windshield nirvana at the end of my recent trip across America. Stopped in at a BMW dealer and test rode the R 1200 RT. Now I just have to figure out how I can save up enough $$$ to get one...

Shoot...at that rate I may have to re-purchase my 2004 Kawasaki Concours. The ergos were excellent for me, I just hated hoping off the bike smelling like gasoline. Fuel injection is sooo much nicer (once you get used to it).

1200 RT huh...I wanna look at a wee strom. I need another toy.
