I started riding again 6 years ago, after a very long hiatus (life called).

my first bike was a 2005 KLR. people would look at me with that "hey!! is that a ginormous dirt bike?!?!" look. it didn't bother me, cuz, well, it IS a ginormous dirt bike...

i traded that for a DL1000 V-strom. it was pretty kitted out, with bags, crash bars, new screen, Staintunes... but it was de-badged. so people would look at me with that "Hey!! What the hell kinda bike IS that?!??!" it didn't bother me, cuz that was kind of the look i was going for. (especially with the flames on the tank)

well, in the scant few weeks i've been riding the FJR, most every day commuting and short trips on weekends, i've had more CUTE girls honk at me as i'm crossing in front of them than i can remember. i had someone just today roll down the passenger window and say "that's a really nice bike!!".

Really?!?!?! it's not the rider, i can tell you that. is this behavior "normal"??

All the girls either try to run me off the road or look the other way! The old ones just shake their head.

Must be the Power Ranger suit. Or I'm fat old and ugly, even the Pie Tart tells me to suck it in.

Can't be the bike it's the beautiful 07 Black Cherry!

Dude...Recently they did a study in Albuquerque due to all the seemingly accidental pregnancies. The study found there is something in the air here. You'll never believe what it is...

Girls legs!!

As far as what BP is talking about...I have no 'effing idea.

Yeah, it's normal, because the bike really does look cool, especially compared to a KLR or a V Strom!

However, in my case, when I take off my full face helmet, they don't walk away, they run!

So, I try to leave my helmet on!

Best chick magnet ever! (not the dork drive'n, but the little guy in the bag)

Best I get (frequently) is, "Is that a BMW?".... then I point out the tuning fork emblem is not a BMW. Surprisingly, they say "Oh yeah, that's a Yamaha" then they ask what model, and I have to point out the FJR logo on the side cover....... I have had cute thangs wave at me when I pull up beside them, but my sunglasses are a decent disguise.

I had a few waive at me down on the River walk in SanAntonio thursday when I moved the FJR from the hotel to the parking garage . ofcourse being young / and cowboy hat on helped .

I'm the midget on the right with my road race instructor in the middle / friend Rick on the left

My hat rides in a FJR saddle bag lol

when cute girls see my white beard they giggle.
One of my "favorite" experiences:

Pulling into a mini-mart/gas station for a drink, rolling up to the storefront, there was a group of 20-something young ladies. As I got off the bike one of the sweethearts said, "Niiice biike...."

As I lifted my helmet and she could see the withe beard, she added, "....sir!"

Sound of ego deflating: Thpthpthtphtphtp.....

REMEMBER: IT"S THE BIKE!

......and at a certain point, they're ALL young and cute!

Almost 40 years of riding, many, many different bikes, but this is the only bike I have ever had this happen on. One day on the way home from work, I'm riding rather aggressively while entering the hwy loop here around Charlotte. Just as this occurs I notice a white Jeep driving quickly up to my left in another lane. Male driver, female passenger. I get a wave from the young, gorgeous female passenger and I speed away. Here comes the Jeep (cherokee) again. Girl smirks, sticks her complete upper torso out of the passenger window and I get the full frontal flash at 70 mph on the interstate. I give a thumbs up and think 2 things: 1-Don't wreck. 2-Boy I'm glad I'm wearing my tight leather power rangers full leathers and my Arai or she would know she just flashed someone old enough to be her father!

This happened to me once. But it was my pregnant ex-wife and she had a $ sign painted on her stomach. :p
