one of my first jobs while in college was as an air freight forwarder...we shipped stuff via airline over seas.

a gourmet restaurant in Paris bought boiled crawfish in New Orleans freshly boiled and we packed them steaming in styrofoam and shipped them overnight to France. they sent us a souvenior menu that translated into $3 PER crawfish...

I once saw crawfish pulling at a dead guys eye lids and ears while he was lying in a ditch...I'm pretty much done with those little bastards. :bad:

I've eaten them. They are interesting, but I prefer a nice pile of shrimp. A little blackened alligator will make my mouth water, but not crayfish.

We had 70 lbs at Easter and will have some more this Friday. They're kind of pricy this year. At least they are 'select'.

I tend not to like to eat animals/insects with exoskeletons.

I have and will again...but it's not my favorite.

Do you guys like to eat fly larvae as well?

I often wondered who it was that had the guts to first try eating a lobster, usually have these thoughts while I'm at Red Lobster.

What an amazing discovery though, when properly cooked !

When we were in Maine on vaca, a tour guide told us they used to feed prisoners lobster about every meal back in the olden days, before they realize they could sell them. They were easy to cook, and plentiful in the area.
