Son got Married !

I stood as Best Man last weekend as my only son married his college sweetheart. I am so proud of them both. My new daughter is a pharmacy student at Texas Tech in Amarillo and she is just awesome. They were going to wait until she graduates but her father is suffering from the onset of Lou Gherigs disease and I've already had 9 heart attacks so they decided to do it sooner rather than later. Both of us are under 50 and we felt great just to be there and able to walk our children down the aisles. Its hard to let 'em go though. I saved my tears for afterword as I drove back to Plano by myself. The wedding was at Clark Gardens in Mineral Wells Tx and for all you Metroplex souls, its a great place for the occasion. I hope I live long enough to share in grandparenthood with the rest of y'all. Life is indeed very good. Just thought I'd share it with my brothers and sisters of the Feejer Fold.

Congratulations! And good for them for moving the wedding up so her Dad could be there. My brother-in-law put off too many dreams and his Lou Gherig's turned bad before he could complete "some" of his plans.

It is days like this that make the frustrations of their childhood seem distant...and cause a Father's heart to swell.
