.... as in, ******-up as a soup sandwich!!!

Normally, we at least have somewhat moderate winters here in the Columbian Basin of southeastern Washington.

But not this year. :glare:

Here's how it looks out my front window this afternoon:

And the back window..... 7" so far since this morning..... on top of 1/4 of sheet ice from last night...:

This winter just blows.... it's going to force me to drive a cage all week, which will likely promote a bad attitude.

Stupid winter.

For some reason I was fully expecting a "yellow snow" inscribed "THIS SUCKS" in that palette of white..

Hasn't been too great here either during the past week, feel like I'm abandoning my bike at the dog pound in the morning when I drive the truck to work and the fjr gets left behind in the garage :(

Don't look at the pics I just posted in the "everywhere" thread. . . . mid 50s, cloudless sky.

I'll go away now.

Dale, I feel your pain. A coupla weeks ago, we got this crap dumped on us...

I couldn't even back out into the driveway to let the bike warm up...

...much less ride it anywhere.

Ditto the dawg kinda dug it though...

...quite literally.

As of today, the roads are mostly clear now - just in time to have the same storm that vexes you, dump another half a foot on us by tomorrow night.

Wake me up when it's June.

I am not worthy!

Yesterday afternoon, I took a nap. It was sunny and 65 degrees out there. Musta been afraid of the psycho cagers and prowling CHP....

Definitely no excuses worth staying home. Except Eve.

Gee, looks a lot like Home. enjoy that little sample of Midwest winter while ya can.

Warchild,

That is Campbells on Rye Sir! Campbells on Rye. It was 72 degrees here today and winds 2-5 mph.

(The best officer car is the snowbound one!)

Just Kidding, but my goodness.... all that white stuff.. All I have is mud.. today, trailering the mighty feejer back from asphalt to dirt to the house, I damn near stuck my 4xduallie and trailer... (when in doubt, gouge it)!

YO! It was a nice today 71 in central Texas, today rode about 300 miles....but I bet you would not be jelous in July when it is 110 on the road...on a cool day :glare:

It's not all a loss. Just like we're in elementary school, Warchild and I don't have to report to work until noon tomorrow. Yea....I think I'm going hookybobbing! :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

Wow, how appropriate to see this thread. I just rolled into Central Point (southern Oregon) after leaving my house in Tigard at 2:30 p.m. It is normally about a 4 to 4.5 hour drive. Worst ice conditions I've ever seen. My top speed the last 115 miles was about 33 mph. Brutal. I'm going to sleep in my uncomfortable hotel bed now...

Meanwhile, it's January in DC and we're riding daily and walking around in sweaters with temps in the 40's when we should have snow. Heck, I rode the FJR to the motorcycle show a coupla weeks ago.

62 in Atlanta today. Supposed to meet the gang for lunch and some riding before the kiddies get home. Fresh air BBQ or pizza, no gloves or thin gloves? I guess being in a bad drought has advantages if you ride year round. I'm getting cold just looking at all that white stuff. Still riding to work most days in January, i love mild winters.

I can trump that!

I was travelling across I-84 from Ontario to Portland, And had to CHAIN UP for 200 miles... :angry2: THEN, The worst cobblestone ice from Hermiston to Troutdale.

And the icing on the cake, (pun intended :p ) I picked up a piece of chain in my right rear inside tire on the trailer causing a flat! :angry2:

Beat that? :glare:
