I was on a cross country trip and had a tire shipped to a friend on Eastern Long Island. I called East End Motorsports and they said they would only mount it if it was supplied by "Drag Specialties" or one other that I can't remember (which mine was). This was "for my safety" since there is apparently a rash of inferior/dangerous tires being sold on the internet (which I've never heard of).
Reluctantly, they mounted the tire for me for $40 (I also bought some oil from them as additional patronage). When I picked up the wheel I noticed that the original weights were still there. The front end wobbled noticeably once I remounted the wheel. I pulled the old weights and things improved enough to get me home. admin edit Who mounts a tire without spinning it up? I'd be down right embarrassed.
So much for their concern for my safety...
