SPLIT: Should Have Reported Instead of Editorialzing

Rules are rules and I am NOT complaining. I have a request though.

When a SPLIT occurs, could there be some hint as to what thread it originated in? Unless you just happen to be in the right place at the right time, you have no idea what the heck happened and therefore cannot follow the logic. Perhaps this would allow us to get the full learning experience?

More work for admins? No thanks. Won't fit in title and I'm not going to spend the extra time to do links. The person that had their thread split knows, others that may have contributed to the off-topic post know, and that's the most important part. Ask them if you want via PM.
