Apparently I overslept a bit cause I woke up and it was May outside. The feejer will fly tomorrow, Saturday Jan 6, starting from Smyrna, GA at around 10 am headed for who knows where exactly but generally north. Forecast for Blue Ridge is 66 and dry.

All are welcome. Post up or PM me. :yahoo:

Wally, go back to sleep, it was only a dream.....It's still winter and its not over yet. Sheesh. PM. <><

I might join you, I will shoot you a PM later today once I know better what my schedule is like.

I thought it was supposed to rain all weekend. What's the weather doing?

Mr. Painman, who lives right over the hill from me but whom I've yet to meet, behold the view right now in the Bay Area.

I...AM...GOING...RIDING!

Jb

Highs are forecast for about 70 degrees tomorrow in the DC area. I'm definitely heading out for a ride. May head down to Waynesboro and the northern end of the BRP myself :D

As the moving photo above shows, it's now sundown in the Bay Area. But this photo (below, taken about 1:30 PM today) shows the kind of day it was--and I DID take advantage:

What are the Californian's doing in this thread?

Ride is on. No rain forecast at all on Saturday.

jwilly, come on and go. Come on out scab. Maybe we'll head west instead of north. There'll be some time to discuss in the morning.

Crap, crap, crap. I found out a gotta carry my folks to Gadsden (hour drive) to pick up their van from the body shop. (pop crashed it) It wasn't supposed to be ready til next week. What's a son to do?

Put Pop on the back of the FJR, drop him in Gadsden and head east. 278 from Gadsden over to Cedartown is a nice ride.

I'm feeling like exploring. That means I'll turn down some roads I haven't been on before. Some may be good. Some may be bad. I'll see what I see.

Well, there's no GGB in the background but I had a great day turning down some roads I've never heard of before. Here's a rest stop.

Couldn't exactly tell you how to get there but I was following some of those Scenic Byway signs and found a very nice road. I'll go back and take more pictures next time.

And, BTW, its 65 and raining here in Smyrna today, much like San Francisco I expect.

Sounds like a great ride you took there, Mr. Wally. Did you not get any takers?

The high for SF today is 63, but no rain. As a matter of fact, the photo link I posted at the top of this thread is a "live," moving image. So that what you see RIGHT NOW is what it looks like over the hill from me about 20 miles. It'd be a crime if I didn't go out today on the Blue Rocket, particularly since I have to go back to work tomorrow after two weeks off.

See ya,

Jb

No. No takers. Didn't here from jwilly again after he posted earlier.

Although I generally don't advocate riding alone, sometimes I like it. I back down a bit knowing that help might be hard to get if I mess up but its still riding and its still fun.

Since I didn't get to go, you are supposed to come back and report just how terrible the ride was. After taxi service, I did get back in time to wash mine.

As for jwilly, I think we got him in trouble the last time we rode and brought down the heat on his head.

It was may-like for the last 3 days in New Jersey but raining today. Get your riding in while you can. It will probably be 130F this summer!!!
