The shirt design that was chosen was excellent and well received!

It's because black FJRs, being the most recent additions to the FJR fold, have no EXPERIENCE and are therefore the red headed step children of the FJR fold.

Well, Bounce and Sonic both have the right idea. I personally know the artist and his or her reasons for not doing a black bike are as follows:
1) the artist has an 07 and thinks it is the sharpest looking of the bunch, followed by that bluey colored one... then that green european color, then it is all a blur...
2) black fill would have just been a blob, with no detail evident and not conducive to silkscreening in this case...
3) did not receive the check made out to "cash" that could have swayed the artist one way or another...
4) exercised free will...
5) *spoken carefully* isn't a fan of black bikes... no offense, just a personal thang... lives for color...
6) what was the question....?
7) black paint is more expensive...
I know the artist was extremely flattered that his or her artwork was chosen and apparently well received. He or she hopes you all wear them in good health and great rides!
