The infamous Staintunes arrived today to begin their new life. They are kind of chewed up but so am I so we will get along just fine. Spent most of the day working on them. Started with 600 grit paper on the DA sander and then went to rouge on a buffing wheel. From there it was Blue Magic on the Makita buffer. The scratches and dents will never come out without going all the way through the metal. The beautifull mirror finish is restored and the next step is installation. After they are installed I will buff again with the Blue **** with a random orbit buffer. The hard part with buffing is holding on with one hand and buffing with the other. I guess I need help from the girls on the proper technic  . The final buffing will be easier with the bike holding them in place and I only need to buff what shows. Will post up some pictures when I'm done

Only on this site do we go from polishing your pipes,

All I can say is, thank God for this site.

Are you saying Air Force flyboys are a little slow Beemerdons? I think most guys and gals going into the blue Navy learned about abusing themselves before they could walk... so I've heard.

So Ray -- you glad you started this thread? I'm looking forward to seing pictures of your cans. Wait a minute, that didn't sound right...

I'm sure hoping that all this buffing and polishing has good results.

....Oh, and I hope the Staintunes turn out good too.

Ray, sure looking forward to seeing what you can do with those things!!

Shiny, you are close enough to come over for a personal inspection and the wife is getting some new girl goats on friday. You could satisfy two dreams at once.

Don, The only thing I got to polish was all those f#%king bombs we loaded on the 52s. There were a few interesting sessions downtown on Okinawa that were educational.

I knew this thread would go to **** in one post or less but we gotta have some fun.

Dude. Pact:

We will never be drunk in the presence of each other's wife.

Stories will get us killed!!!! I don't know if we need to do the knife-across-the-palm bloody handshake or just a pinkie promise, but seriously. Don't get me killed and I won't get you killed. K?
