Yes, I'm still trying to get someone to do something about the PTT-03 not disabling the VOX for the transceiver, which is what it was supposed to do.  It is such a minor problem I can't believe they can not fix it.  I even offered (through Jeff at Bike Effects) to do some investigation on the problem if they would just send me some schematics.  I have not heard back from them.

So here's how I am working it in the meantime:

Riding solo is no problem.  Just dial down the Vox and everything is good.  Garmin GPS w/ bluetooth phone & Music into the Audio, GMRS radio into radio.  Use PTT.

If riding two up and not needing Bike to Bike I move the GPS w/BT Phone output to the Aux port.  Separate music source (iPod) into the Audio. Set the Vox level to work.  No GMRS, No problem.

If riding 2 up with other bikes and wanting bike to bike, I have to go back to the first configuration.  The only real problem is that I do not get muting of the music when using the intercom.  The GPS still mutes the music for directions or phone calls and whenever I receive bike to bike.

My understanding is that on the Starcom1 Digital you can select or de-select the VOX function for each audio device.  In other words the VOX can be set to not key the GMRS transmitter when you talk.  Having the VOX key a bike to bike transmitter is a stupid feature anyway.  Why on earth they decided to design it that way is beyond me.
