Sorry Groo, you know there isn't a member here who wouldn't ride with you on a moments notice-me included, so set that one aside.

Losses

I have love

And a child,

A banjo

And shadows.

(Losses of God,

All will go

And one day

We will hold

Only the shadows.)

Words fail me at times like this. I wish you well.

It would seem that, according to my calculations, you have now exceeded your quota of tragic associations. It should be mostly uphill from this point, mostly.

Damn Dan, it's hard enough to hear about these kinds of events when they are people we don't know but to know two people involved in two different events in the same week? - just unreal.

My condolences to you, the family members and your co-workers.

Well Dan,

Time will be your best friend, it has been mine many, many times.

I would not mind getting a ride in with you and others nearby soon.

Hope you can make it to Hamburger Wednesday if you feel up to it.

Scott from Lake Jackson

Groo,

So sorry for your loss. There is never a good time or a good way to lose someone close to us. So sad to have his life cut short. Stay strong, bro. We're here for you in spirit.

Thanks for sharing a bit about your friend. Without that we would not know much about the man other than the way some puke ended it. That just ain't right - even in this very large world of ours. Seems like the guy lived well. So thanks for that! I would be pleased to have you show me around your neck of the woods for a ride anytime.

John.

Damn! I feel for you. Philips must of hit bottom. Other aspects must have made hanging on too much. Sorry the Loser took your Friend with him.

Beavery sounds like a fine guy. Sending a passel of 'Good Karma' your way. TJ

I can't imagine how you must be feeling Groo. You have a bunch of people here to unload on. I'd ride with you anytime.

Dave's memorial at JSC today was quite nice...

Despite the impending wet weather, we had approximately 50 bikes to escort Dave's wife, family, and friends to the memorial service. Most of the local news crews were there, and they reserved the first 2 rows of seats in the auditorium for the motorcyclists. They had Dave's Ducati 999 on the stage, which looked like it just rolled off the factory floor.

There's a church service tomorrow, and an even larger motorcycle contingent is expected to ride to it.
