Would anyone be so kind as to measure the length of the stock springs? I've got a 919 project bike going and the stock CBRXX springs would not be a bad replacement. I've got a set of mystery springs and can't figure out of they are from my XX or my FJR.

Thanks!

Damn, they've gotta be the FJR ones. Race Tech says they are .80's but I've heard differently. Are they .85's?

Hmmm. The Gen2 Bin-o'-Facts says Gen1 and Gen2 springs are the same length, just different specs.

If it helps, here are my Gen1 'stockers' - 10.5" or 26.7cm or 267mm'ish.

But I just noticed the tape measure is Australian.

No! The springs are definitely different between generations. And the '02-'03's are different than the '04-'05's.

Stock 2nd Gens all have a 262mm free length single rate spring at .85 kg/mm. The installed length is 251mm (10mm of spring preload)

So they are .85?! Sweet they will work then.
