Guys,

Its been a while since I have posted.

Like my topic title states I am getting a pretty noticeable stumble at 2400RPM while slowly accelerating. I notice it mainly while city riding. I did notice it pretty bad when I had a pillion the other day. I do not notice it if i am hard on the throttle though. Any ideas.

Second issue is a really soft rear brake pedal. I replaced pads last summer at about 26K. Probably didn't have to after the thought but i did. I noticed ever since my rear brake pedal seems soft. I can almost push it all the way down to the stop before the bike some to a stop. I have bleed the brakes like the factory service book state to. After I do that it seems to be a lot stiffer but after a bit it seems to go back to soft. I have plenty of fluid and I have bleed the brakes 3 times since last summer. Any ideas.

Bike is an 08 with 35K on it. Aftermarket add on include: KN Filter, VH CS one Pipes, PCV w/Auto Tune, GS Throttle tube.

Could there be a minor air leak in the rear brake line?
'fooz
Not likely....'cause if there was, there would be brake fluid all over hell-and-gone every time you pressed the rear brake pedal.

Brake fluid under pressure is gonna come out faster than air would enter the same (speculated) hole.

I had a spongy rear pedal on my 08. Solution was to bleed the rear AND front caliper (right side, as I recall) since they are linked. The front caliper had an extra bleeder specifically for the pot activated by the rear pedal. Once I did this, the pedal has been firm ever since. Took all of about 10 minutes.

^ about the linked brake bleed

Regarding the stumble: I'm not a fan of the K&N filters, or any oiled filter for that matter. Sounds to me like partially clogged injectors.

Try some Seafoam, or Yammy Ring-free, if that has no effect, you may have to pull the injectors & have 'em professionally cleaned.

You'll need new injector screens, (the place you get the injectors serviced will have those, and will install 'em), and possibly new o-rings (5FL-14147-00-00) & gaskets (90430-09002-00).

And if it were me, I'd replace that filter with an OEM one
