Seems an appropriate day to get opinions on the differences and the causes.

Of course, yesterday, while it was still March, just such a discussion was underway. It apparently got lost in the more interesting religious, political, gun related, economic and sexual postings of this first day of April. But I was hoping to start the day reading others' takes on what would cause the described symptoms. I'd love to hear jestal's or radman's opinions on this one. Where the hell have those two been lately, anyway?

I just updated the suck vs blow thread. Thanks for your help. Just a stupid mistake on my part.

A couple of months ago, Bill Clinton runs into Monica Lewinsky at a hotel bar in D.C.

Monica invites Bill to sit down and have a drink with her to talk about "old times". Naturally, Bill agrees.

While they're sitting there at the bar chatting and generally having a good time, Monica starts talking about this really great new drink.

The more she talks about it the more excited she gets, and starts trying to talk Bill into having one. He gives in and lets her order the drink for him.

The bartender brings the drink and puts the following on the bar -- a salt shaker, a shot of Baileys and a shot of lime juice.

Bill looks at the items quizzically and Monica explains. "First you put a bit of the salt on your tongue, next you drink the shot of Baileys and hold it in your mouth, and finally you drink the lime juice."

So, Bill, trying to go along and please her (just in case she's interested in "The Cigar Treatment" later), goes for it. He puts the salt on his tongue; salty but OK. He

drinks the shot of Baileys; smooth, rich, cool, very pleasant. He thinks, "well, this is OK". Finally he picks up the lime juice and drinks it ...

- in one second the sharp lime taste hits...

- at two seconds the Baileys curdles...

- at three seconds the salty, curdled, bitter taste hits.

This triggers his gag reflex but being the manly man he is, and not wanting to disappoint Monica or show weakness - he was President afterall, he swallows the now curdled, nasty drink. When he finally chokes it down he turns to Monica and asks, "What the hell did you call that drink?"

"******** Revenge", she says.
