suggestions for lodging, meals, 8/8-10

I'll be hitting all three of these spots for overnights and possibly dinner and/or breakfast the next morning. I'd welcome any input on suggested good spots in these locals. I'll be in Tupelo on 8/8, Dyersburg on 8/9 and Carthage on 8/10.

My personal preference for lodging is a clean, reasonably priced mom and pop place. I'll stay at chains but small places are fine too. I don't need a fitness center or a free breakfast. I sort of prefer the mom and pop sort of restaurant, too. Chains are okay but I prefer local flavor especially if it is great food that the locals go to.
