I know that this is not new, but after I added the Cee Bailey's 2+2 reverse flip, I knew that I would never go back to the stock screen. I looked longingly at the CB concave 9" sport shield (shown for Gen I only), and went to the shop, drew some points, fitted her up and did the deed. The acrylic cut very cleanly and easily, and a little work with the sander rounded and smoothed the edges nicely.
Took her out for the first time today (I actually like the CB shield so much that I was hesitant to take it off...) and ...WOW it was great! It is pushing mid '90's here, and went for a 7 hour cruise. Not too much as far a triple digit speeds, but mostly twisties and sweepers up in the mountains. It was really enjoyable to have some but not all of the wind. When I did go high speed, raising the screen about 1/2 way deflected a good part of the blast. I did notice that if I was going high speed with the screen fully up, the buffeting was there and was not pleasant. That said, I am really happy that I cut the windshield. It was nearly like having another bike...well almost...
