Surging

i have an 03 fjr with 14,000 miles recently noticed a very distinct surging when trying to keep a constant speed,like when your behind the azzhole doing 25mph in a 45mph no passing zone and theirs a cop behind you. any suggestions on diag this problem.thanks in advance!!

Sounds like the usual FJR lean surge. Usually cured by fatten up the ECU/CO settings by doing the Barbarian Jumper mod, or installing a Powercommander or Techlusion black box. I did the jumper mod. It worked quite well. It took care of most of the lean surge, plus made the bike run a bit better, cooler, and helped eliminate the remainder of the vibes. I suspect the PC and Techlusion will give similar results.
