Can you make the fairing any smaller?....or just take the windshield off that thing?

I believe this is just a Euro-only bundling of Bandi 1250 accessories that have been available separately for some time. Suzuki Euro is doing the same for the 650 V-Strom. It's an FJR competitor int he same sense that a FZ1 fitted with Givi bags and lowers is a FJR competitor.

According to the reports from our Canadian brethren, with pictures, theywere available at the Canadian show and still are from Suzuki Canada at the bundled price. They're just not offered by Suzukiu-USA.

I suspect their focus is on the new Hayabusa and the release of the B-King.

Thats correct Mike, We get all the good stuff up here, same as the early FJ 1100 wasn't available in the States, and the additional horsepower the Canadian Spec FJR has.

You extreme Northern Americans get all the fun. But then, you can only ride 6 months out of the year....maybe that's why you are so avid and determined once the cold-white-stuff disappears.

and the additional horsepower the Canadian Spec FJR has.
That's just not fair. I thought you guys got the "French de-tuned engines". Or are those only delivered to Quebec?

6,799 pounds.... let's see, in real dollars thats..... $13,314! Holy ****, a bandit for 13 large. No thanks, they can keep it in Europe and Canada!

Although it does look nice!

From on eo f the links I provided:

However, that being said, you CAN go to Suzuki and purchase all the GT components and add them to the bike your self. Lower belly fairing, hard bags and trunk are available. The downside os the overall cost of buying all the accessories.
The lower fairing, $500

Side case set $365

Top Case $184

Side case mount $200

Top case Mount $200

Backrest pad for top case $35

Double Bubble Windshield $60

Total for all accessories $1544

Add that onto the MSRP of $8800 and your just over $10K. All that for a standard bike, with chain drive and you still have to do the work to install the add ons.
Subtract the topcase (The FJR doesn't come with one) and ite even cheaper.

After the Toronto show, Mike-H posted:

................. up here in the Great White North....for 08 they are bring in a Limited Canadian Edition that come with factory lowers, & bags for about $1100.00 dollars more (MSRP).....
Its interesting......but not for me. I'll not be trading my FJR.

I saw one of these in Dothan last Saturday on the dealer floor. That rack for the cases is a kludge, but it works, I guess. Not set up for style. Noticed lights not just on the top case, but the side bags as well. Didn't investigate whether they were taillights or brake lights, or just reflectors. Don't remember the price.

This dealer is Suzuki, Honda, Yamaha, Victory, and Polaris, all under one roof. Didn't have an FJR, but they had some FZRs and an R1 lying around.
