1 owner, never dropped, never raced. Year is 1999, 2001, 1998, 2002. $4000, says it's track ready. I know the kid, he's always been honest with me. Wadda ya think?

:p

The SV is a fun bike. Most people who want to race them put on a shock and front end from a GSXR.

IMHO, I'd say $4k is high unless it does have the GSXR suspension and the engine and gearbox are primo.

BTW, do you know if he has parts left over from the donor bikes? I need a frame and back wheel and some other stuff for the SV650S my daughter crashed.

He USED the good parts. ;) He asked me why, after putting in a 30a fuse for his low beams after burning up 20's, why the headlight drains his battery, so he has to use the high beams all the time. :p

From the looks of it, its all TL1000S. Its missing the front bikini fairing that covers up all of the junk thats showing, but it pretty much looks 'stock' from what I can see.

Where's the rest of it?

I've considered the SV for the track as well. Somethin' about that one just doesn't add up to SV though.

I hope this is a joke because that is not an SV650. The spars on the frame are upside down from an SV. The swingarm is too large and nothing about it looks like my SV except for the Vtwin. I have an 02 SV.

It is a joke-I just failed to identify the bike properly. Belongs to a kid that stops by occasionally. It is trashed beyond comprehension, yet he keeps it going. If you ask him nicely, he'll just drop it as you wait. :) He estimates it's been down at least a dozen times, and thats since he got it-it was trashed when he got it. He's a stunter in training, and the bike shows it.

Ah, he's a rookie. If the top of the tank had been beat in with a hammer, then we'd have nailed it.

Hey, now that is starting to sound like something I might own....
All that said, the other folks are right, SV650's rock...!!!!

You shouldn't ruin their good name by posting an imposter of a TL....
