Feed for rear lights, easiest if you disconnect the loom at the connector behind the left hand side panel and either make up a mini loom to insert between the connectors as a take off or carefully remove the appropriate pin and crimp your take off into the pin before reinserting.

Depends on how much power you need? A few milliamps for powering a GPS or lots of amps for powering heated gear? I installed a blue sea fuse box under the seat and used the license plate light bullet connector behind the left hand side panel to provide the signal to my relay for powering the blue sea as a switched power source. That way I can add some power hungry accessories and keep them all on their own fused circuits.

Yep. I used the Fuzeblock instead of the Blue Sea, but same concept. Gives me switched or unswitched power, and all power leads are fused. Very clean install and I don't have to worry about screwing up or overloading existing wiring.

I used the taillight lead to trip the Fuzeblock relay, and the Fuzeblock is direct wired into the battery (with its own fuse).

+1 on the Blue Seas, used the same power for my relay. I'm running GPS, heated grips, heated clothes, air compressor power jack of it, all switched by the relay.
