Hey guys I just synched the throttle bodies and I'm having a hell of a time getting the T-Bar reinstalled. If I put the front bolt in first, the left or right side are too short. If I put in the side bolts first, I can't get the front down to fit into the groove so I can screw in the front bolt. Is there a trick or a bolt sequence that I'm just not aware of? Thanks for the help. I can post pictures, but if someone already knows my problem I'll forgo them for now.

The front goes on top of the tab and the two sides go under the tabs. Other than that, I can't imagine how you could have a problem. Get all three started before you tighten any down. Use a torque wrench @ 27 ft.lb.

I didn't have the side tabs underneath and was trying to install the entire thing on top.I even looked at the manual and didn't figure it out. I have to give props to my wife for going, "Shouldn't those go underneath?" Thank you Ross for the confirmation.

If it doesn't fit....you aren't forcing it hard enough.

I got it to fit but the bolt wouldn't sit right. I'm glad I didn't strip it either that would have been a royal pain in the butt.

She's a keeper, stose!

The bike or the wife? HAHAHA The wife is my better half and besides thinking with the "other" side of her brain she's a lefty so its good to have her around.

If you look closely, the holes on the left-right sides of the t-bar are tapped to accept the bolts. The front hole isn't threaded but the tab it goes over is tapped.

I did notice that right away, and even wondered to myself how it was supposed to stay on the sides without it being threaded (going from the top). That's why I joined the forum! Lots of experienced people who have done this before.

Corollary to this: If it jams, force it...if it breaks, it needed replacing anyway!

If you are screwing it in and it gets tight, twist harder. That's what the previous owner of my MINI thought the last time he reinstalled the O2 sensor in the downpipe.
