Jim and I talked it over & we've decided that if there isn't someone who would care to donate some time and energy to take complete responsibility of collecting money for t-shirts, ordering, making sure the order is right & handing the shirts out at the meet that we are going to send a design to Zazzle.com & let them handle it.

There were issues w/ the shirts last year that affected all who ordered & I don't want to repeat that same scenario.

The biggest downsides of Zazzle.com... & they really aren't huge downsides are shirt expense... they'd be more expensive than if we ordered ourselves locally. It'll end up costing us at least $5-7 or more per shirt depending on what is ordered... & that is the cheap shirts. Also of concern is shirt quality... the last time that we used them for EOM in 2005, quality definitely varied... from the actual screenprinting to the quality of the shirts.

The upside of Zazzle is you have control over the type of shirt your screenprinting is put on. IE. type/color & the shirts can be obtained before the meet since you're ordering online. Each person will be responsible for their own order.

So, do we have any takers of this task or will Zazzle.com be tasked with our tee shirt order? If someone would take this responsibility I'd be highly appreciative as would everyone else. There ain't nuthin' like the personal touch.

I'd really rather not go w/ Zazzle because of the higher cost & quality issues... but if that's what happen, that's what happens.

I see that lots have viewed this subject, but only one taker of the task. COWARDS!

I can work on t-shirts. I don't use Paypal so I would require payment by check, in advance of placing the order. Also, I need someone to provide the graphic. I'll probably use the same place that made them for last EOM unless someone has a better idea.

And, I don't intend to follow the current tradition of having the t-shirt person become the main rally organizer for the following year......

Oh, we'll certainly NOT be using the same place as last time.

I did get a few new leads after the debacle that was last year's T-shirts. I can also do the graphics work again.

Slap has a beautiful winding road shot that I think he took on the Dragon? It was used for the '04 EOM, but would work again unless you have a better suggestion?

Jim

Jim, I love that pic of the winding road that Travis put on those shirts. I've talked to him about it & it is the Dragon. I really rather not do the same graphic, though. I am in talks w/ the first brave person to respond. If he decides to bow, I'm coming back to this list to bug someone else. Cough, cough, cough... Geezer. We can simply trade one Greg for another!

As Travis says... we will definitely NOT be using the printer fr/ last year. A sad businessman, that printer is.

Heidi,

Send me the prices you are looking at and I will run them by my shirt guy. I have been very pleased with the quality of shirts and print he does for my company. I also have him do emdroidered hats. Items have to be purchased in multiples of 12 though.

Also are we looking at a full color pic or just a one or two color item?

Kevin, there's been little action put towards this endeavor so far. I'm talking w/ Greg E tonight. He offered up his services to possibly take this on.

I'll let you know what's up.

i like sweatshirts, the hoodie kind.
Allen, I'm hoping for setting up more than 1 kind of shirt. We shall see.

I also like hoodie sweatshirts, the ones tha zip all the way down in front, however, I don't know if it will be practical to provide a choice of shirt. My gun club tried that one time and there were too many different opinions and not enough people interested in each option.

My thought was a short and long sleeve tee and a Hoodie. As soon as get an opportunity, I'll have a price on shirts.

guess i'm glad i'm not the only one that likes hoodies. I realize september should be nice weather still for the EOM, but I wear those things whenever so it's not like it wouldnt be put to use.

I still didn't get my long sleeve shirt from last year... :)
