I have a Motofizz tail bag from the Aerostich folks that I mount on the stock rack and the pillion. It's probably too big for most rides, but it's ideal for two- or three-week camping trips; the sides can be expanded 4 (one side) or 8 inches (both sides) if needed. I've got a Garauld rack on back-order, and expect it to work great with this bag.
I was surprised by how well the aerodynamics of the bike worked with this big bag mounted. The bike was rock-solid at even nominal speeds.

Sign Post forest in Watson Lake. Did an Alaska trip last year and loved it.

For my 50th birthday last July, I rode from my home in SoCal to Banff. Spent a great week there with my wife, then rode up the Alcan to Watson Lake (with a short detour to the Northwest Territories), down the Cassiar to Hyder, then back home - mostly camping, with the occasional motel. I had to miss WFO, but otherwise it was a great trip.
