So, this past weekend spklbuk, violione & I took what, I'm guessing to be, our last route scouting ride for this year through the twisty roads of WV & VA.

If we do more riding in this area before EOM, we're just using route scouting as an excuse to ride.

There aren't many pictures this time around. It seems that now that Jim has ridden with Jeff Ashe two times, the non-picture taking bug has caught on.

Here is the humble abodes of the 3 players. With the cost of gas these days hotels are just too expensive. Guess which tent is the girl's.

How we survived: Eating hot dogs. Here is Jay (violione) carving hot dog sticks so that we could roast weenies over the fire.

So... like... we were at Twin Falls. Not only didn't I see any twins, I didn't see any falls, either. Jim pointed out the trail that leads there to me. Oops, I totally missed that!

Anyway, routemaster has done it again. Be really looking forward to the twists and turns that Jim has put together for attendees enjoyment. On this year's agenda is backroads. You will not be sorry.

Looking forward to seeing all in September, Heidi

The REAL sacrificial part came in on Sunday when Jay & I were riding home to Norfolk/Va Beach. We rode through a couple of hours worth of TORRENTIAL downpours.

Jay tends to Jim's recipe of glad bag breakfast omlets (yummy) while Heidi appears to be asking herself 'what the sam hell are we doing up this early?'

sorry you guys are having to rough it for all of us....

I organized a rally in Pineville in '06 for one of my other clubs. Did you miss the Cow Shed Motel and Restaurant? Cheaper than a tent, most of the room doors close....
