I have the D&D risers and the big Yamaha tank bag. They don't work well together so I need a new tank bag. Any suggestions for what I should get?

I did not want a magentic bag, so I got the SW Mototech Engage Touring Bag...see it here: https://www.twistedthrottle.com/trade/productview/2131/114/

It attaches to the gascap ring.

Unfortunately, I have to sell my bike and I am going to sell the tank bag separately...if you are interested. The bag cost $170 and the attachment for the gas cap costs $25.00. In addition, I have "electrified" it with the Powerlet, which you can see here:

https://powerlet.net/products/ptb.php part number - PTB-001, which costs $25.00.

If you are interested, make me an offer I cannot refuse and I will send it out to you ASAP.

I have risers and use a Joe Rocket Velocity tank bag. I have found that the pocket on the front of the bag (when it is on my tank) works perfectly to hold my coiled up power cable for the GPS. That was just lucky as I didn't even know there was a pocket there when I ordered it.

I have D&D's in my farkle box and have been thinking hard abt the Yami FJR tank bag. Good info to know they interfere. May have to look at other options. Anyone try a Tourmaster tank bag?

Another suggestion if you don't mind the price...

Bagsters. They rock! Bagster makes a custom fit tank cover and the bags clip to that. Bags available in numerous sizes and pop right out of the way without completely detaching in order to fill the tank. Not cheap, but worth every penny. You can check out the line-up at https://www.bagster.com and CIMA International now is a US distributor, so your shouldn't have to pay international shipping on them in the states. No web site for Cima, but you can email them at [email protected] once you've figured out which set-up you want and they'll send you prices. I can track down a picture of one on my '05 if needed.

I have the Heli risers and added a Fieldsheer Eifel (like the French monument). The bag is a magnetic bag that has two separate bags that can zip onto the magnetic base. One section is small and the other is quite large. The units can each be used alone or in combination. There are numerous pockets and each section has a built in rain cover. I paid about $60 plus shipping for the package.

I'm new to the idea of going long enough distances that I would actually need or use a tank bag, but I was looking at the Sargent Super Bag, and it is quite impressive! Best thing that I can see from their webpage is that it can be modified to many different sizes to fit your needs. From a daily commute to a cross country trip, I suppose. Here's the page....
