So I install the Helibar adjustable plate on my 2007 gen2 and was wonder if anybody else is using a tankbag setup with these....My larger Givi bag interferes with the bars at less than full lock...

I've got a Givi xs307 tank bag with the Helibars set up. (2017 FJR). I expand it out which allows the bag to move when the bars are turned out. It's not as ideal as I'd like, but it does the trick.

I generally only throw the bag on when doing longer rides anyway, and running tight corners at slow speed is at the fuel stations...

I use the Givi ST602 Sport‑T Tanklock Tank Bag; I think it is their smallest. I am actually glad that using the Helibar forced me to look at small bags. Made me realize how much unnecessary crap I was carrying. I used to use large tank bags but now use a small bag on the FJR and GSA too.

If you pull the tank bag back a little -- toward your crotch -- will the handlebars still touch it? I only use mine on all-day rides (or longer) and its front edge is inline with the leading edge of the filler cap. Nestles snugly between my thighs and isn't a hindrance.

Can you adjust your tank bag back? A magnetic bag probably can adjust; don't know about a strap-mounted one.
