Hi folks... sorry for the short notice....

Opening up the garage for a tech day here in NW Calgary for the local riders.

Sunday, May 16th, 9am until we're done.

I've got a fairly well-equipped 2-car garage (now cleaned up and actually usable) for working. We should be able to handle most general maintenance and farkling... PM me if you need something specific in the way of tools or service and I'll let you know if we can accommodate.

PM me for address info and to let me know who's planning on coming... so I can make sure there's enough supplies etc.

Sorry for the short notice. We'll plan another for July with more notice.

You Know I'm there! :D

Thinking of rigging up a TBS tool before then. If anyone else needs this done, let me know to provide additional incentive to get it done!

I'm due for one... was gonna ask if anyone had the manometer-thingy to do the TBS. You're hired !

Would have liked to come to that but I'll be in Salmon Arm mountian bike racing. Maybe the summer one ~ with more notice.

Excuse my ignorance ~ but is that the same thingy that one would use to sync carbs on a sled?

Ohhhhh!!!.. Does that mean I get paid??? :p
You know where the beer fridge is...

'sides... didn't you want some Posi-Taps?

I the spirit of 'giving back' to the community, as I will likely be needing to remove my windscreen, I am going to offer it up for test rides if anyone is interested in trying it. Borrowing one for the day at CFR-09 was what sold me on getting one.

Also, my new Yamaha 'Comfort' seat will be available for demo as well. Wish I had this opportunity before I went this route, but seats are a personal preference thing so someone else may love it. The only way to know is to ride on it!

So.....if I brought up the '03 then we could fix the leaky fork seal, the vacuum leak, etc? Just kidding

I'll be up there this weekend to take it into Healy's for Monday. PM me with your address Jeff and I'll stop by.

Kasey

Great to meet some of the other locals I havn't met before as well as catch up with others I haven't seen since CFR.

Big thanks to Canucklehead for use of the garage and Lucie for a fabulous lunch! :clapping:

I would also like to thank Jeff and Lucie for their hospitality. And, maybe appologize (to everybody) for being so stand-off-ish; I can't believe I've belonged to this forum for 4 years, and still knew nobody else at this event.

Well you know us all know! No excuse now for not coming out to play! B)

btw - great to finally meet you in person!

Thanks all for coming out... it's great to learn from each other at these things, and also great to put faces to names. :yahoo:

Enjoyed meeting Chris (clsonfjr), Ian(the FNG ;) ) and hooking up again with Terry, Katherine (Kasey) and the other Jeff (FJRGuy). Always a pleasure folks!

Not the highest tech tech day on record, bit we did manage to play around some ... and FJRGuy's mamogram-thingy (whatever the Hell they're called) looks like a great tool ... will have to check it out once all the bubbles are gone.

Looking forward to the next one ... hopefully we can all get a chance to RIDE before and/or after the wrenching :)

Now if I could just get the damn wiring sorted .... :dribble:

I wanted to add my thanks to Griff and Lucy for a great time. It was great meeting other FJR owners and it was pretty illuminating to see the bikes come and get put back together so quickly! Can't do that on a Burgman - too much plastic and stuff to remove before you get access to the innards!

Again - much thanks to Griff for hosting us and especially to Lucy for putting on lunch!

Good Times!
