Pursuant to this post, I ordered the iEZClick remote for my bike, and it works as advertised! I had lost the ability to operate the volume control when I put on my new Kevlar Racing gloves, due to the material not transferring the heat, or whatever, from my fingertip to the touch pad. If I wanted to turn the music up or down, I had to pull off the glove, adjust, put the glove back on. What a PITA!

I also picked up a nice set of Sony EarBuds for $9.00 and got the whole package for about $26.00 shipped. It just keeps getting better!

Some songs just need to be louder than others, and now, they can be, without sacrificing safety. Now, I just need to find a secure mounting location for the remote and rock on! :punk:

A little heavy duty velcro on top of the clutch master cylinder is marvelous place for that thing.

Ummm Yeeeaaahh, but that's where my SPOT tracker's going to reside, once I move my SmarTire Readout, install my CC, new HID telescopic left-side setup, and crash bars, if I ever get the damned things, which are beginning to take on fuel cell status, as in paid for almost six months ago. I just hope I get them by the time I need them or...

The iPod remote is currently hooked onto the velcro strap which holds down my Escort 8500, atop the brake reservoir but, with the spring clip provided, isn't very secure at all. I'd hate to lose that thing....

A friend of mine wears one of these around his leg and attaches the remote to that. Just remove the clip and thread the band through the remote... :)

Won't work for me. One more thing to strap on. I'm trying to simplify the act of gearing up, not complicate it. Besides, it would interfere with my shiv....

SUCCESS!!!

After removing this piece:

I found it perfectly suited for Velcro strap mounting right here:

Solid and secure, for optimum head-bangin'!

However, the little sucker likes the juice, so turning it off between adjustments will save on battery replacement costs.

Thanks again, Tyler! Get well soon! BTW, a "healing energy gift" is on its way....

I use an iJet remote with my iPod Nano Gen2. They're hard to find. Aerostich sells one for the Nano Gen1 HERE. It also has a built-in FM transmitter so you can use it in the car or at home. And it has a pass-thru on the iJet so you can keep a charger plugged in. Some day I'll wire my tank bag so I can do so.

My iJet unit and Nano sit inside my map pouch where they stay dry, the remote is on top of the McCruise buttons on the left grip where they're easy to reach. Be sure to put enough dual-lock on it so it stays put, don't ask how I know this. The manufacturer was kind enough to send me a replacement.
