Departed the Golden Marriott after the end of the Banquet.... around 10pm MDT I'll tells ya what, crossing I-80 across Wyoming is almost tolerable when you can't see it.

1178 miles and a sedate 21 hours later, I am back in southeastern Washington state. B)

Was so completely busy with crap all weekend, I took no NAFO photos... except a couple on the way down to Golden on Wednesday:

Here is I-70 near the far western edge of Colorado:

Awesome plateaus everywhere you looked:

There was a small amount of less than pleasant weather... this is near Rifle, Colorado late Wednesday morning, July 23rd:

Another rider home safe n sound. Good stuff.

Great job and kudos to all that made NAFO happen.

Thanks for posting that photo taken "near Rifle".

I used to live in Rifle. That really brings back memories. :cray:

There are a lot of awsome roads out there, perfect for a dual sport.

25,000 in 8 months????? DAMN!!!! YOU ARE DA MAN!!!

Good to see you again, Warchild!

I rarely see the sights you do because I take all back roads and avoid highways like the plague. Then, again, it takes me forever to get anywhere.

Cheers,

Ron

Roger VS and I left around 11:45pm mountain time and I put the sidestand down in my driveway 1270 miles later around 5:40 pacific time. After only 4 hours of sleep Friday night and unable to nap successfully I went down early last night so post this up Monday morning.

Awesome event. My thanks to all organizers and attendees for making this such a memorable event. You EOM guys have your work cut out! Looking forward to 2010.

Thanks..... I was really shooting for 30K, and can still do it by taking the Busa to the IBA National in Tulsa next month, but....

I am thinking about taking the FJR to the IBA National instead. Took that bike to work this morning, and holy fookin' crap, riding the FJR (after many months on the Hayabusa), it feels like... cheating. You are soooooooo comfortable on that bike, so protected by wind/rain.....

FJR riders really do lead the Life of Riley....

Tulsa............since I only made it half way to Golden I might make it to Tulsa and treat you to some grub.

25,000 in 8 months? Seems impossible.
