I'm currently in the middle of my grand adventure and have reached the turn-around point of Portland, OR. If interested, you can follow my progress at

Ask and you shall receive. Today's route through Idaho was definitely a byway adventure.Just finished reading the blog thru the current posting. Enjoying your report. Now get off those interstates and hit the byways on the way home!
BTW - Congrats to Audrey and War Eagle!
I'm always open for a day ride and meeting new friends. Keep watching my blog and you'll know when I get back to home base. Now that's more like it Hardley! I liked to hear at least the intentions of getting out of the parking lot by 8 am. Not that it happened, but that was a vast improvement over most of your departures. Like a buddy of mine told me one time when I was lolly gagging around at the hotel one morning, "let's go boy, we're burnin' daylight". However, I have to give you big props on keeping up with the daily journals. As easy as it may seem to some that just lurk through the ride reports, actually taking the time to write the journal, upload the pics and get them into cyberspace after a full day in the saddle is a tough azz chore. I'm always impressed with you guys that are able to do it. Keep it up Hardley :yahoo:
BTW - I'm looking forward to meeting a fellow Auburn Tiger / FJR rider someday when you return from The Great Loop. You'll have to join our new little GA/AL gang for a day ride sometime.
Thanks for looking and setting up the "easy" link.Easy Clicky to his blog.
I finally got a chance to look at your blog. Really good stuff. I've got to plan a trip like this in the next few years. To be able to see all these sights in one trip is just too much for me to bear! :dribble: What a great experience.
Thanks for following my exploits and adventures on the road. Let me know when the next day ride happens. I'd like to meet another FJR road tiger. WDE!Now that's more like it Hardley! Thanks for reading! Even though I enjoyed writing my account of the journey, it's nice to know someone is reading.I just got done reading the whole adventure. Good Stuff and thanks for taking us along!!
Thanks for reading and you're so right about the number pushing. I can't wait to get back out on the road again. I've never been to New England or Quebec and I hear they are beautiful in the fallJust finished reading your adventure, much better than pushing numbers around at work. Great read, thanks of the writeups, I know what it takes to summarize this stuff. So true about some places, so hard to capture what you are seeing with the camera.
