First off, excuse me while I brag a bit (again).

As some of you know, our son Tom has chosen a career in acting. So far he has been in Taco Bell, Southwest airlines and McDonalds ads but this fall he scored big with this ad for Coke playing the lead roll as the Elf. They don't tell the actors much about where or when it plays but we do know it will be in more than just the US. It will play in theaters, internet and perhaps TV.

Let me know if you see it this holiday season. I'm starting to suspect the days of him helping dad stack firewood are over.

However, perhaps, someday he will remember when I bought him a new Honda 50 to learn to ride on and repay dad with a new bike. J/K, it's just fun to see him aspire to his dream.

All that firewood stacking must be why he can throw all those presents up to the second story roof's.

Congrats buddy!

Thanks folks. Mrs Bug and I are becoming "those parents who go on about their kids".

Tom is already looking forward his first lead roll in a action/comedy movie geared toward generations younger than us. Shoots next month in Phoenix so a road trip may be in order to check it out.

It's interesting to learn from him the behind the scenes magic they do for the camera. Just like HP and weight claims from the motorcycle manufactures don't believe what you see on on film.

What generations would those be, Doug? ALL of 'em? This is great for Tom--he's in every scene. Bet they'll end up cutting and pasting about 20 different versions and we'll see it everywhere.

Kaylie's quite a cutie too, isn't she? (Said in a very fatherly way.)
