Arizona is in the superbowl.

Tampa Bay was in the world series.

Utah was in the sugar bowl.

Denver is leading their division in the nba.

Tenneessee women's ncaa basketbal is ranked #10 in the country instead of #1.

Pittsburgh and Oklahoma are in the #10 of men's ncaa basketball.

In women's tennis only 1 name is recognizable in the top 5 (Serena W.).

New Jersay, Washington, & Boston are leading their divisions in the NHL.

Boxing is no longer a headliner sport.

Danica Patrick actually won a race last year.

What the f*ck is going on?

CRMH Eagle,

I'm not sure if you noticed, but the poster children of sports is not all that's changing today.

Beemerdons....if they want to hire that old *** beat up fighter dude.....let em have em. Hope he puts them on a losing streak.

Hardest thing for me under category ...sports are changing: Was when Mike Ricci came over to the Coyotes from the Sharks.

I spent so many years at America West Arena calling him a ********** from the stands whenever San Jose came to Phoenix.

He joins AZ squad and it's "Go Michael!" for 2 years. Oh well; at least he looks like Geddy Lee from my favorite band, Rush.

CRMH Eagle,

...but we can't talk about that.
We can't antagonize the dumb *******s with a point of view contrary to our own.

We can point out that this is a different world. Hockey in the desert. Chicks racing. We have a Black president with Hussein for a middle name.

As long as we don't add our opinion as to whether that's a good thing or a bad thing, we should be O.K.

For the record I think hockey in the desert makes no sense.

https://sharks.nhl.com/team/app/?service=pa...rticleid=405089 I am a Phoenix Coyotes fan; but odot, what did you think about the Sharks recalling Claude Lemieux from Worcester?
It makes no sense. Claude last played in the NHL about 6 years ago. Sure, he's a character player... but he's also a character player who lost the edge to play at the ripe old age of 37. Now he's 43.

There are two things I don't get about this move.

1. Why is Claude still playing in the minors 6 years after the end of his NHL career? He was on several Stanley Cup teams. He was a free agent during good times. Who was his financial advisor? Bernie Madoff? Alan Eagleson? I know Chelios is older, but he's been playing in the NHL all along. Claude's been out for a long time.

2. What on earth do the Sharks expect to get out of this? Claude is 2 years older than their coach. Its like bringing in a geezer to settle out the young pups. He should be respected for his accomplishments, and he certainly was a character player... but lets not ask him to embarrass himself here at this late stage.

El Toro: You're right, it really doesn't make any sense. That's why I asked odot, FJR resident hockey expert, for an opinion.

With Sharks at 34 wins, 1 ahead of Boston; and 10 ahead of my Phoenix Coyotes in the Pacific Western Conference & with the All Stars Game on Sunday: Maybe they think they are so far ahead that they don't mind "Battling Claude" on the roster!

Hockey in the desert does not make any sense either...but after my first Coyotes game I was terminally hooked. Wish I had been born in Minnesota, so I would have grown up with this great sport; instead of surfing and football in California!!!

Too bad yer from kalifornia....at least yer a rush fan. Yer not on my top ten ********* list anymore. Hell, even neil peart lives in kali now. Must be nice to be a kick *** drummer with a hottie hot wife and a stable of beemers in the ol' garage. Riding the skoot to all the shows....that's kick ***.

I even have had the good fortune to shake Neil's hand at BMW Rallies. If it's any consolation, I left kalifornia 20 years ago!

He goes to bmw rallies? What a looser.
https://www.bmwmoa.org/happenings/whereandwhen.htm odot, there's a very good chance that Alex, Geddy and Neil will be playing the BMW Rally in Johnson City, Tennessee on Saturday night July 18; MOA has been talking closely with Rush.

Come on over and I'll buy you a cerveza in our Bavarian Beer Tent. Checked mileage from Dallas to JC, TN: 968 miles.

Sorry about that odot, my mistake! Rand-McNally showed 663 miles from Dallas to Nashville and I guessed another 85-90 miles to Johnson City; www.mapquest.com shows DFW Airport to Johnson City miles are at 968 and another 3 road hours.
