As I type this Galaxyblue that normally calls Arizona home is hauling apples in his big rig in Southeastern Washington. I learned last night as he spotted me on MySpace (I guess we were both trolling for young women with flimsy moral standards) and sent me a message that we should try and catch a beer sometime....or maybe lunch depending on our schedules.

I gave him my cell phone number and he just called now.

A quick IM to Warchild and he's up for an early lunch!

Using Google Maps on our end and GPS on his end we figure out a restaurant near the freeway with space to park a semi nearby. So, he's in transit and we have a docking maneuver planned in about 30 minutes.

To put a cherry on top of it while I'm talking to him on the phone he says, "Hey, I'm driving by a town called Prosser. I just saw a motorcycle dealership. Is that who I think it is?"

I reply, "Yep! Desert Valley Powersport....formerly Sunnyside Motorcycle where you picked up your apples this morning."

....it's a small world folks. :)

Psst... Galaxyblue doesnt live in AZ.... Otherwise your little 'fantasy' story here of this 'internet' thing helping you guys find a place to meet up for lunch sounds quite believable.

Maybe his pushy pin thang is in AZ...but I don't think he lives there.

He either lives in MO

....or rycher on the internets. :)

Iggy and I are about to depart to meet up with him, so we'll ask what the real deal is regarding his residence...

I've never met GalaxyBlue. Or Iggy, for that matter. It is therefore entirely possible that this entire scenario is fantasy perpetrated by a 12-year-old with a computer.

My memory comes from a hazy period called WFO where I thought he said he was moving to AZ...but it seems he was staging there like it was a some sort of cosmic rest stop.

It was a fun lunch and we talked about a bunch of different subjects including Group Buys, politics, religion, asshattery, neighborhood lesbians, and that Napoleonic dictator of an Admin Ignacio. ;)

It was great to see GB and his significant other.

They're off to Milton-Freewater, OR and then back towards Missouri I believe.

Returned just now from lunch? With GalaxyBlue? No ******* way. I've seen that boy eat. ;)

Myspace? MYSPACE?! *Shakes head and mubbles something about perverted sexual orientation. Not that there is anything wrong with that.*

3 forum members live off the same main road within 1.2 miles of each other. How's that for a small world!

I probably would never have met either of them without the forum, and they are both great people!

Yes, I expressed a similar sentiment during lunch, something to the effect of: "I don't know what's more disturbing, the fact that Iggy has a MySpace page, or that GalaxyBlue was looking there and found it".

As I've said all along, that website should be renamed to make it more accurate: "MyPredatorSpace.com"

Myspace can be used for good things. I have my job as a direct result of someone new I met off of myspace. That's pretty darn cool.

But I also think its a bit regional in its appeal. I only have one friend back in MN thats on it, but everyone i know and meet down here in Dallas is on it. Even my managers have a myspace page. But no one up north seems to care about it at all. Which is a bummer for me.

Already did the lunch thing with GB a few months back. Turned out, he was picking up a load of produce at a place where I had responded to an automatic fire alarm just days previous. The loading was tediously slow, and lunch became dinner, but in the end, he was headed to Flagstaff (IIRC, it's where they have a hub terminal), with a belly full of salad bar.

Adam's good people. And we are World-shrinkers....

wow!

Where to start! :D

Iggy did well giving the play-by-play on the meeting, But he neglected to mention his mode of transportation, With Warchild riding PILLION! :D

ok... Well, It's not technically pillion riding, But they both arrived in a snazzy new VW something...

Lemme repeat that:

Dale in a CAR!!!!!!!!!!!!! :lol2:

We met up at the mongolian restaurant and i enjoyed their Pao Chicken, Which was very yummy! Excellent choice!

As for my Significant other, Terri is a best friend of mine who is running with me for a while until her husband get well enough the drive again. he suffered from a type of vertigo or something.

Thanks matt and Dale for meeting up with us today, It was a pleasure to have an intellectual conversation with to great people!

I am in Pendleton,Oregon now... I just had to stop and play a little bit...

It was a profitable day for me! I took on this indian tribe at Wildhorse Casino and stole $400 from them on Roulette and 3 Card Poker! :yahoo:

Well, It's time to head up the hill and play in the snow... :glare:

I thought spring was supposed to be here already! :angry2:
