Think I found my vibration problem

Developed a problem with vibration in my right grip making my hand numb even on short rides.

I have 22,000 miles on my 08 and never had this problem.

Decided to check torque on the handlebar mounting.

Was going to loosen and retorque.

When I backed off the bolt I noticed the bar moved and sure enougn the the nut was more than loose, the stud had broken off in the handlebar mounting plate.

This could have become exciting.

Wow! One more example I own a quality torque wrench. I go over my bike before I ride. Not with the torque wrench, but checking lights, bolts, fasteners, etc... Just like I would do a preflight check before going flying. Come to think about it, it's exactly like that - save for the fuel sampling. Riding and flying are both activities that demand the most attention to safety. OK, off my soapbox. I'm glad you're safe. I trust that you checked the other side as well as the rest of the bike?

Went to dealer and ordered parts today.

They said it will be at least a week until they arrive.

Wow! Looks great. I suppose if your car needs brakes, you'll return with a Porshe Boxster? (lol) This sounds so much like me. Please let me know how you like it and what it's like to ride.
